History of Bay Area Black Deaf Advocates
In 1988, The original chapter was called OaktownBDA and located in Oakland, California.  In 2011, We come back to present chapter was called Bay Area Black Deaf Advocates ( BABDA).


Bay Area Black Deaf Advocates is the official 
advocacy organization for thousands of Black Deaf and Hard of Hearing people in Greater San Francisco Bay Area (Northern California). These Black Deaf and Hard of Hearing people are not adequately represented in Leadership and Policy decision-making activities affecting their lives.




BABDA Mission Statement

BABDA shall be organized and operated mainly to promote the leadership development, economic and educational opportunity, social equality, and to safeguard the general health and welfare of Black deaf and hard of hearing people.
